When you buy a used RV, you’re buying all of the dings and dents of the previous owner(s). Sometimes, you buy the reason that the previous owner decided to unload it. And if you’re really lucky, you become the proud owner of a repair or service gone wrong.
A simple replacement of The Cup’s fuel filter became a whole ‘nother thing when the repair shop discovered that an incorrect fuel filter had been installed by the previous owner. The Ford “quick connect” connectors wouldn’t quickly dis-connect; in fact, they wouldn’t disconnect at all.
After cutting the old filter out, the repair shop has begun the process of replacing the fuel lines from tank to engine. The departure on the Boca Chica / Starbase trip may be delayed by two days.
